Logan’s Roadhouse is taking guests on a culinary Great American Road Trip this summer, using America’s 250th anniversary and Route 66’s centennial as inspiration for a limited-time-only (LTO) menu available through mid- to late September.

The 115-unit steakhouse chain launched the promotion June 1 at participating locations, pairing barbecue traditions and familiar regional flavors with patriotic July 4 offerings designed to keep the Americana theme going well beyond the holiday weekend.

For operators, the timing is notable. While July 4 gets most of the attention, patriotic dining demand can stretch from Memorial Day through Labor Day—giving restaurants ample opportunity to use flag-themed items, seasonal LTOs and Americana-inspired specials to drive repeat visits. According to Technomic, 55% of consumers consider whether a restaurant offers LTOs when deciding where to eat.

A Tour of Flavor Across America

The Great American Road Trip menu celebrates regional culinary traditions, from a stuffed jalapeño appetizer to entrees highlighting BBQ styles from Texas, the Carolinas, New Orleans and Alabama. There’s even a Route 66 Chicken Bacon Ranch sandwich—especially fitting for the 100th anniversary of America’s famous highway.

“We wanted to create a well-rounded lineup that offered something for everyone while celebrating the bold, regional flavors that make American cuisine so iconic,” says Shawn VanWinkle, vice president of marketing at Logan’s Roadhouse. “From standout dishes like the Carolina Gold Fried Ribs, NOLA BBQ Shrimp and the Texas Ribeye, each inspired by destinations across the country, the menu gives guests the opportunity to experience a variety of flavors all in one visit.”

A guest favorite, the Texas Ribeye is a 12-ounce hand-cut ribeye topped with spicy butter and a roasted jalapeño.

Texas Takes the Lead

So far, the Texas Ribeye has emerged as a menu favorite. “Guests have really gravitated toward its bold flavor, enhanced by our Cajun butter and roasted jalapeño, which also creates a memorable presentation when it arrives at the table,” says VanWinkle.

Overall, he adds, guest response to the Americana-themed menu has been “incredibly positive.”

The chain’s Red,White & Booze cocktail menu includes the Original Electric Lemonade with New Amsterdam Vodka, the Rockin’ Strawberry Groupie with Corazón Blanco Tequila and the Big Easy Blue Roadhouse Tea, a blue curaçao-infused spin on the Long Island iced tea.
