
We’re thrilled to announce that Catering, Foodservice & Events (CFE) has a new name—CFE News—and a new digital-first direction.
Perez Webber Media Group acquired the leading trade publication and digital communications platform from International Media Group, Inc., and former publishers Klaas and Antoinette De Waal. The new CFE News is led by longtime Editor-in-Chief Sara Perez Webber (editor since 2010) and Publisher Jay Webber, who will build on the publication’s legacy as the premier news source for catering, foodservice and events professionals.

- A twice-monthly email newsletter
- A redesigned website (cfe-news.com) to be launched in Fall 2025, updated frequently with industry news, caterer and industry leader profiles, and coverage of important industry trends
- An Editorial Advisory Board, consisting of influential leaders in the catering and events industries
- Expanded opportunities for advertisers, partners and thought leaders

Leadership Updates
Under the leadership of former Publisher Klaas De Waal and Associate Publisher Antoinette De Waal, CFE grew to a nationwide digital subscriber base of 70,000+. Happy to retire, the couple is incredibly grateful for all they enjoyed with their team during their 15-year tenure.
During the transition, Klaas will serve as publisher emeritus to help guide the new CFE News. Additionally, CFE’s dedicated national advertising manager, Suzanne Bernhardt, has embarked on her well-deserved retirement. Longtime advertising executive Suzanne Craven joins the team as CFE News’ national advertising sales director.
“The new CFE News represents the next chapter in connecting our industry with the stories and insights that matter most,” said Sara Perez Webber, editor-in-chief. “I’m looking forward to more opportunities to cover the people, companies and trends shaping catering, foodservice and events.”

Covering the Catering Industry Since 1993
Since its founding in 1993 as Catering Magazine, the B2B news platform has continually evolved to serve the industry—expanding its scope to become Catering, Foodservice & Events (CFE) in 2021 with a new website, cfe-news.com.
The CFE website (cfe-news.com) reaches up to 150,000 professionals nationwide, and CFE has forged strong alliances with influential industry conferences and trade shows. Under Perez Webber Media Group, readership and partnerships are expected to grow even further.
