CFE News is pleased to announce the newest member of our Editorial Advisory Board: Robin Selden, executive chef and managing partner of Marcia Selden Catering and Naked Fig Catering, serving Connecticut, New York City and beyond.
Named one of The Knot’s 100 Most Inspiring People in the Wedding Industry, Robin joins a group of prominent catering professionals from across the United States who are helping to guide CFE News’ editorial direction with their industry expertise.

“Robin is exactly the kind of voice we want helping to shape CFE News,” said Sara Perez Webber, editor-in-chief, who recently moderated a catering panel featuring Robin at the New York Restaurant Show. “She’s an industry leader who brings a perspective that is both deeply creative and deeply practical. Our readers will benefit enormously from her involvement.”
Added Jay Webber, CFE News publisher: “Robin is a recognized thought leader and sought-after speaker. We’re proud to have her on the board, and we look forward to the insights she’ll bring to CFE News and the professionals we serve.”
Alongside her brother Jeffrey, Robin leads a powerhouse team at Marcia Selden Catering—the only catering company inducted into the Connecticut Restaurant Association Hall of Fame. Her team produces more than 1,100 events each year, from high-profile celebrations to unforgettable weddings, all designed to create delicious memories.

Robin’s professional accomplishments are among the most distinguished in the industry. She is a past president of the International Caterers Association (ICA) and a winner of ICA’s prestigious Chef of the Year award. A champion for community causes, she’s also a board ambassador for Make-A-Wish Foundation, and a founding member of the American Cancer Society’s Women Leading the Way to Wellness.

Passionate about shaping the future of hospitality, Robin and Jeffrey are in their 12th year of teaching Catering and Special Events at Cornell University, and Boston University’s School of Hospitality. Robin lives in Stamford, Connecticut, with her husband Michael and their beloved goldendoodles.
